The Aurora Wind Farm started workshops on non-conventional renewable energies (NCRE) for elementary school children in three schools located in the area where the project is under construction.

They aim to provide knowledge on photovoltaic energy, geothermal energy and wind energy through practical workshops. “We seek to give children skills and knowledge about NCRE,” says José Poblete, adding that “since the methodology is ´to learn by doing´, the workshop will conclude with a small-scale solar car competition, built by the children.”

The workshops will have two-month duration and will be carried out under an agreement with the Municipal Administration Directorate (DAEM) of Llanquihue.
