Aela achieves the generation of more than 1.000.000 MWh

Monday, October 01, 2020

In September 2020 this clean energy generation goal was achieved, thanks to the operation of the Sarco (Atacama), Cuel (Biobío) and Aurora (Los Lagos) wind farms.

Today, thanks to the operation of our wind farms, we have achieved the generation of more than 1,000,000 MWh by September 2020. Undoubtedly, this is good news for NCRE, and indicates that the generation of non-polluting energy is advancing in Chile to transform the energy matrix into a cleaner and cheaper one.

Sarco Wind Farm is located in the commune of Freirina, approximately 60 kilometers southwest of the city of the same name, in the Atacama Region. Composed of 50 wind turbines, it has an installed power of 170 MW, equivalent to the energy consumption of approximately 270 thousand homes. www.parqueeolicosarco.cl

Cuel Wind Farm is located in the commune of Los Angeles, Biobío Region. It consists of 22 wind turbines that total an installed power of 33 MW and produce enough energy to supply electricity to 55 thousand homes. www.parqueeolicocuel.cl

Aurora Wind Farm, located in the commune of Llanquihue, Los Lagos Region, is composed of 43 wind turbines, which total an installed power of 129 MW, capable of generating enough energy to supply 195 thousand homes. www.parqueeolicoaurora.cl
