Cuel Wind Farm and Prodemu subscribe a collaboration agreement

22 women entrepreneurs will receive training and resources for the development of individual businesses

Los Angeles, 6 September 2017

Last week, in the premises of the San Manuel Neighbors Association of the Los Angeles Municipality, and with the attendance of Carolina Toro Huerta, Regional Executive Director of Prodemu and José Luis Muñoz Collazos, General Manager of Cuel Wind Farm, the foundation and the company entered into a collaboration agreement. This agreement aims to work jointly with a group of 22 women entrepreneurs from the wind farm’s adjacent San Manuel, San Francisco, Paso de Arena and Mesamavida communities, who work in the areas of agricultural processed foods, vegetables and trade.

Through the agreement, Fundación Prodemu, by means of its “Improving my Business” program, will provide the tools for beneficiaries to improve their skills in personal empowerment and entrepreneurship management techniques. The Cuel Wind Farm, in turn, will support beneficiaries by providing capital for the development of the women’s projects for a total amount of $3,300,000 to be provided in materials and supplies.

In addition, Cuel Wind Farm’s professional team will assist beneficiaries in contacting new public and private competitive grants to allow their access to new resources to benefit their endeavors.
